When Is the Best Time to See Lambertville Halloween Decorations?

Yards and businesses have decorations on display starting October 1st. However, the best time to really see everything is from mid-October through Halloween.

You’ll find giant Jack-o’-lanterns, front-lawn grave yards, haunted pets, fog machines, bubbling cauldrons, and sci-fi horror scenes. We’ve got a pirate house, an undersea house, and a themed house that changes every year. Look for blinking eyes in the darkness, glowing faces, haunted sounds, and lots and lots of skeletons.

The density and elaborateness of the Lambertville Halloween decorations increases as you get closer to October 31st, and decorations get added all month long.

Many homes have spooky lighting, unexpected surprises, and some even have terrifying animatronics. The darker it is outside, the more freaky and fun it can be.

If you arrive later in the month there will be more visitors viewing the scary scenes at the same time as you, so arrive early to find parking.

If You Have Very Young Children

Come during the afternoon or early evening—anytime it’s still light out—and follow the audio tour for the Memory Maker’s Trail of Magic. You’ll stay mainly in the business district and the glowing figures are more magical than terrifying.

If Your Kids Enjoy Being Scared

Arrive in the late afternoon and hang around past dusk. That way you’ll discover two (light and dark) layers of creepy fun before you go out and erase the fear with some pizza.

Children of All Ages (teens & adults)

Walk around after sunset. The lights and sound effects really pop in the dark!

Where to Park?

Park wherever you can. Weekends are always more crowded than weeknights so arrive early to find parking. The closer it is to Halloween, the more crowded it gets.

How Late Does It Go?

Residents are used to visitors walking around to look at the Halloween decorations. Things stay lit up as late as 10pm, sometimes later. Just remember it’s a residential area, so scream in fear quietly and you probably won’t bother anyone.

Lambertville Family Halloween Parade

Halloween in Lambertville: October 31, 2026

Halloween night in Lambertville

People come from all over the world (literally) to trick-or-treat, eat candy, see the costumes, and experience Halloween in Lambertville, New Jersey.

Halloween falls on a Saturday in 2026, so it’s going to be extra busy this year.

Families often do all of their trick-or-treating in town while older trick-or-treaters tend to parade up and down North Union Street before walking across the bridge to find a dance or party in New Hope, PA.

North Union Street Closure: 5pm-9pm

On Halloween night, North Union Street will be closed to vehicular traffic from 5-9pm, leaving pedestrian access only. There are many decorated houses within the designated walking area, which makes it safe for families to go trick-or-treating.

Official Trick-or-Treat Hours: 6-8pm

The residents who participate in the Halloween activities on North Union Street tend to sit outside if they are distributing candy—that way trick-or-treaters don’t have to compete with thirty other kids on the narrow front porch steps.

You don’t have to stay on North Union Street. Perry Street, Clinton Street, and other parts of town also get busy with trick-or-treaters. Some of the best-decorated homes are a short walk off of North Union Street. See this post to find the most elaborate decorations.

People with very young children often bring a decorated wagon or stroller to transport their little trick-or-treaters with ease.

Adults Dress Up Too

Lambertville is a place where you can participate and enjoy Halloween however you want, so don’t be lame. Get into the spirit and show off your fun costume.
