Below is a roundup of some of the many stories that happened in Lambertville last month. ### Formed, But Not Yet Funded Lambertville established a Master Plan Advisory Committee, which is staffed by Mayor Nowick, the Planning Board Chair, the Zoning Board Chair, several Zoning Board Members, a Planning Board Member, and Councilperson Kominsky. [City Council](https://www.lambpage.com/lambertville-city-council-october-15-2026/) discussed what it will cost, how they intend to fund it, and what the plan will cover. ### Continued Contamination Bad news: Cavallo Park needs more remediation. The good news is that the work area is beyond the fence so—as of now—it’s not going to close the playground. The Parks and Recreation Commission [wants to be part of the remediation planning](https://www.lambpage.com/parks-rec-commission-october-13-2026/) so that they can remove invasive plants, but keep the native vegetation. ### Hov on the Hill As the K. Hovnanian/Lambertville lawsuit continues, Lambertville is asking to join the land owner to the case and maybe gain access to the land for contamination testing. ### Wicked Behavior The Lambertville Police Department’s [September activity blotter](https://www.lambpage.com/lambertville-police-blotter-september-2026/) revealed calls about harassment, property damage, criminal trespass, drinking in public, missing persons, and fraud. Who knew Lambertville was so dangerous? Maybe October’s report will reveal calls about hoards of little candy-hungry ghouls, ghosts, and goblins. ### Haunting Houses Quite a bit of [real estate action](https://www.lambpage.com/lambertville-real-estate-october-2026/) took place in October. The city was open to the idea until a heavy burden of NJ fees and regulations came to light and [shut it down](https://lambpage.ghost.io/ghost/?ref=lambpage.com#/editor/post/6ad25001a840df00012e2b49). Contestants ran up Mechanic Street to a decorating station where they drew a jack-o’-lantern face on a pumpkin, and then they raced back down the hill to the finish line—all while wearing 3-inch heels. Several houses had wait lines out front. As the sun went down, the crowds just got bigger. Some monsters, princesses, and parents parked north of town by the Rt. 202 bridge and walked along the canal path to get in on the festivities. A family of Trolls came from Stockton, NJ. A group of space aliens came from Bloomfield, NJ. Owner Chris Foglio [promised tenants last month](https://www.lambpage.com/heritage-village-landlord-promises-fix/) that she would be onsite weekly starting in October, and that renovations on the neglected building were to begin in October.
